Inner Mongolia Issues RMB 5 Million in Ice and Snow Tourism Vouchers and Launches a RMB 299 Culture and Tourism Pass

Starting November 7, 2026, Inner Mongolia will issue RMB 5 million in cultural and tourism vouchers for ice and snow activities to visitors from across China. The vouchers can be used for expenses including scenic-area admission, skiing and ice skating, and equipment rental. Inner Mongolia has also launched a RMB 299 cultural and tourism pass that is valid year-round, with no price increases on public holidays. Pass holders can visit more than 120 scenic areas.

The vouchers cover several aspects of a visit, from scenic-area sightseeing to ice and snow activities and equipment rental. They may help reduce some of the costs visitors incur when taking part in these activities and could also stimulate demand for related services. The pass extends access to all four seasons, offering visitors another option for planning scenic-area trips at different times of the year.

For scenic-area operators and businesses offering ice and snow activities, whether the vouchers translate into actual visitor numbers and spending will depend on how visitors claim and use them, as well as on the availability of services. Visitors planning a trip can follow updates on the voucher claim and usage rules, along with information on the specific scenic areas covered by the pass.
