Wuyi Mountain Xiamen Gulangyu Earth Building In-Depth Tour

Add to cart

Wuyishan: It's not just about climbing mountains. Taking a bamboo raft and floating on the Nine Bend Stream is the most effortless way to enjoy the scenery. At night, watch the live performance; the mountains illuminated by lights are truly breathtaking.

Gulangyu Island: There are no cars on the island, you have to walk the whole way. Collect stamps of various old buildings along the way, and climb to the top of Sunlight Rock for a panoramic view of the entire island.

Tulou: The magical "round buildings" in the mountains. See for yourself the "four dishes and one soup" (four round and one square), and find the pillars that have stood for 700 years in the "leaning buildings".

• Xiamen Island Ring Road: Rent a bicycle, ride along while enjoying the sea view, and stop to play in the sand whenever you like.

Detailed daily itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Wuyishan | Nine-Bend Stream Rafting + Impression Dahongpao Tea

• Morning: Arrive at Wuyishan North Station by high-speed rail (closer to the scenic area), then take the K1 bus or a taxi to the resort for check-in.

Afternoon: Enjoy a bamboo raft ride on the Nine Bend Stream (approximately 1.5 hours). Reservations are recommended 3 days in advance via our official WeChat account. We suggest choosing a 3:00 PM departure, as the sunlight shining on Jade Maiden Peak provides the most beautiful backdrop for photos. The rafting trip ends at Wuyi Palace, where you can stroll along Song Street and enjoy Da Hong Pao ice cream.

Evening: Watch "Impression Dahongpao" (approx. 70 minutes). Directed by Zhang Yimou, this live-action performance takes place against a backdrop of mountains and water, featuring a 360-degree rotating audience seating area. It is truly breathtaking.

• Accommodation: Within the Wuyishan Scenic Resort Area (such as Yuehua Hotel or boutique guesthouse).

Day 2: Wuyishan | Climbing Tianyou Peak + Rocky Bone and Fragrant Flower Trail

Morning: After breakfast, challenge Tianyou Peak (848 steps). Reaching the summit offers a panoramic view of the Jiuxi River; this is the premier scenic spot in Wuyi Mountain, where the sea of clouds sometimes creates a fairyland-like atmosphere. On the way down, you can visit Yunwo and Chadong.

Afternoon: Hike along the Rocky Bone and Fragrant Tea Trail (Da Hong Pao Mother Tree → Liu Xiang Jian → Shui Lian Dong, approximately 2 hours). The air is filled with the fragrance of tea fields, and you can see filming locations from "Journey to the West".

Evening: Enjoy local specialties such as Langu smoked goose and Wengong vegetables.

• Accommodation: Wuyishan Resort Area.

Day 3: Wuyishan → Xiamen | Arrival + Zhongshan Road Night Tour

Morning: Take the high-speed train to Xiamen (G-series train recommended, approximately 3 hours).

Evening: Stroll along Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and sample satay noodles, oyster omelets, and peanut soup.

• Accommodation: Xiamen city center.

Day 4: Xiamen | Gulangyu Island One-Day In-Depth Tour

Morning: Take a ferry from the Xiamen International Cruise Terminal to Gulangyu Island (purchase tickets in advance via the "Xiamen Ferry+" mini-program). We recommend disembarking at Sanqiutian Terminal, as it's closer to the attractions.

• Tour Route: Most Beautiful Corner → Organ Museum → Sunlight Rock (overlooking the whole island) → Shuzhuang Garden (including Piano Museum) → Gangzaihou Beach → Longtou Road for sightseeing and dining.

• Evening: You can choose to stay overnight on the island and enjoy the quiet time after the tour groups leave; or take a boat back to Xiamen.

• Accommodation: Guesthouse on Gulangyu Island or in Xiamen city.

• Accommodation: Xiamen city center.

Day 6: Xiamen → Nanjing Tulou | Four Dishes and One Soup + Yuchang Building + Yunshuiyao

• Noon: Visit Yuchang Building ("Leaning Building") and experience the architectural miracle of standing upright for 700 years while leaning.

• Afternoon: Stroll through Yunshuiyao Ancient Town, see Hegui Tower (the tallest square building built on swamp land) and Huaiyuan Tower (the prototype of the filming location of "Big Fish & Begonia"), walk along the ancient road and the big waterwheel.

• Accommodation: We recommend staying in a Tulou-style guesthouse (such as Taxia Village or Yunshuiyao) to experience Hakka life.

Day 7: Tulou → Xiamen (return trip)

• Morning: Wake up in the Tulou, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and you can choose to visit the Hekeng Tulou Cluster (less crowded and quiet) or return directly.
