Shanghai Research Summer Camp

Shanghai is like a colossal, breathing amusement park and museum.

The row of old buildings on the Bund are the timber left by "Greater Shanghai" centuries ago; the glittering skyscrapers across the river are the timber of the future world.

Hidden in the alleyways are labyrinths—stroll in casually, and you might bump into a centuries-old Song Dynasty well or discover a brick from a hundred years ago. The aroma of freshly baked buns wafting from a street corner is this city’s little surprise for you.

Time here is fascinating. Take the elevator "whoosh" to the top of Shanghai Tower, and it feels like you’ve flown into the future; but just turn into the narrow old lane next door, and you’ll hear an elder recounting stories from his grandfather’s childhood.

Come to Shanghai—no need for textbooks. Just open your eyes, prick up your ears, and this city will whisper its stories to you.
