Travel Guide
China’s civil aviation industry will implement its 2026/2027 winter-spring flight schedule from October 25, 2026, to March 27, 2027. According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, 216 domestic and international airlines will participate in the new season. Routes serving red tourism and cultural tourism destinations continue to expand, while capacity on international routes is increasing to meet diverse travel needs, including winter snow tourism and trips south to enjoy warmer weather.
A notable feature of this season’s schedule is the alignment of route planning with seasonal tourism demand. Snow tourism and warm-weather getaways involve travel in different directions, and the expansion of related routes is expected to give travelers more destination options. For tourism businesses, when flight schedules align with itinerary needs, they can also create more flexibility in combining routes and planning product schedules.
Increased capacity on international routes provides more options for international travel. However, whether additional capacity leads to a more convenient travel experience also depends on the specific routes, flight frequencies, and schedules. An overall change in capacity does not mean that every route will see a corresponding increase in flights, nor does it allow ticket price trends to be inferred directly.
The schedule indicates that allocating air capacity to meet winter tourism demand is a clear direction for the new season. Travelers can follow airlines’ announcements of specific flight schedules, focusing on whether new or adjusted routes serve their intended destinations, travel dates, and connection needs. These arrangements will have a more direct impact on ticket bookings and the organization of tourism products.
